bikes

upon a recent check of their online store i discovered that urban outfitters now sells "custom" bikes.

let the richmond bike kid outrage begin.

now in the past few years fixed gears have risen to the top in the hipster circles, and riding without breaks ups your cool points. and im sure there will be a few people with no interest buying these bikes to help their social climb. but ill add a few of my thoughts to this discussion

should other bike enthusiasts really be mad about bikes becoming hip? i would much rather more people be riding bikes than driving cars. i dont think we should want anyone to stay away from a better lifestyle choice even if they are doing it to be cool.

but i will also say if urban is going to dictate what is trendy i think it is also their responsibility to promote saftey. maybe sell some hip bike helmets while they are at it yeah?

camp

i am finding it difficult to summarize my experience at Camp Firebelly in a blog post.
all i can say is that i know the past two weeks have changed my life greatly and i am so appreciative of that.
i am so motivated now for the little time i have left in richmond to refine my portfolio and pack my apartment for the next step i am taking in life.
