Enough with Letterpress

So many Letterpress postings. Work in other classes has been slow, or just a lot of reading an research.

In Design Rebels we had to research a socially conscious design firm, write 500 words, and design those words into a piece.

My firm was Quilted, they do web development, but they do it for awesome clients and do a lot of pro-bono work!

I designed my "paper" into a zine, something cheap and accessible to the masses.
It was my first dive into the world of zines and a good start.
If you want a copy let me know!

NY and Hatch

Well, the NY AIGA trip is all set.
Here is the final rundown of studios
Worldstudio
Chopping Block
Trollback & Co.
AIGA National Design Center
Chermayeff and Geismar
Pushpin Studios
Milton Glaser

Our group will be split up for Glaser/Pushpin.
I'll be going to Pushpin and I'm stoked.
Seymour has been emailing me which still feels crazy.

On another note.
We recieved our woodbocks from Hatch Show Print.
My poet came in and picked out the one that inspired her which is this one.

(excuse the picture quality)

We are collaborating with poets to make a publication that will be available to buy.
Ours will be dedicated to Hatch so this is why it is featuring their blocks.

I did some experiments with mine due to the fact it is much larger than the spread size

Geeze Louise

Visually not much has been going on. Hopefully soon I will scan in some notebook doodles.
A bit of letterpess. This are just hectic.
Ill be gone to Oak Knoll Fest in Delaware this weekend then the 16th-18th will be the AIGA New York studio tours.
I need [hate using that saying..have to find something to take it's place] a small digital camera to boost my photo taking.
And side note...the roasted red pepper and gouda soup at strawberry st market rules my life!
